# France CIUS CII Extended
Official external specifications for the French e-invoicing reform. (opens new window)
The French standard XP Z12-012 defines, next to the France CIUS profile, an extended profile: EXTENDED-CTC-FR. This profile is a superset of EN 16931 and supports French use cases that cannot be expressed in the core model, such as multi-vendor (marketplace) invoices and invoice lines with sub-lines.
In the CII syntax the extended profile uses the Factur-X Extended guideline identifier (BT-24):

The examples below come from XP Z12-012 Annexe B (v1.3) and contain French comments that map each element to its EN 16931 business term (BT):
- Invoice: the same invoice as the France CIUS example, expressed in the extended profile.
- Multi-vendor invoice: a single invoice covering goods sold by multiple vendors (marketplace scenario).
- Sub-line invoice: an invoice where lines are broken down into sub-lines.
